A couple weeks ago, I was telling my boyfriend about the traumatic experience I had had when I left a banana in my handbag and forgot about it, leaving it to go brown, mouldy, and mush all over the inside of my bag. A week later, this showed up at my door:
Do I have the best and sweetest boyfriend in the world? Absolutely.
Anyway, this gave me the idea of a new post for you guys – What’s In My Bag. I’ve seen quite a lot of YouTubers do this, and I love seeing them. I think it’s interesting to discover what people think are their most vital objects to have on hand at all times.
Firstly, I like to keep a little notebook and pen with me. Usually I use this notebook to keep track of all my Aion toons and passwords (I have a ridiculous amount of characters on that game) but I enjoy being able to write down anything I want to remember, or any ideas for a new post I might have. I know you can put notes into your phone, but I often forget about them when I do that. Plus, I find scribbling things down or doodling helps pass the time.
Living in Australia, sunglasses are a necessity. I actually struggle to find sunglasses that I like and think suit my face – I have very large eyes and therefore feel weird in smaller shaped sunglasses – but I’m happy to have found these ones. I’m not 100% certain, but I believe they are from Ally Fashion. They’re also the first pair I’ve ever bought that aren’t black.
(Sorry about the terrible photo quality – white on white doesn’t work out too well!) I like to keep a healthy snack in my bag. It helps resist the urge to buy junk if I’m out and about and feeling a little peckish. Of course, sometimes I succumb, and that’s okay – we’re only human.
My glasses, which are in desperate need of a clean. I only really need to wear these while driving, or if needing to read something far away. So I keep them and their case in my bag – I actually need to book in to get retested and get a new pair of glasses, as I’ve had this pair for a couple of years now and they’re getting dreadfully scratched up.
My purse. I actually got this purse to match my old handbag, which was the brown colour. I’m so glad it has the black on it as well, as it goes with my new bag perfectly too! This purse is from Colette Hayman.
Two of my favourite lip balms – the Baby Lips just to keep them moisturised, and the Colour Riche balm for when I want a bit more colour on my lips. I will often switch out the Colour Riche balm for whichever lipstick I’m using that day, but the Baby Lips lives in my bag and always will.
Last but not least – my phone. As you can tell, it’s been through some battles (the bottom left pains me to look at). I’m due for a free upgrade in July, so I think I’m going to stick it out and get the new iPhone when it comes out a few months after that – or go for a new phone altogether, like the Samsung Edge. What do you guys think?
What do you keep in your bag? Have you got any necessities that you think I’m crazy for not having in my bag? Let me know!
