Every now and then, I get the urge to makeover my room. Usually I try and refrain from doing so, as it means I’d end up spending a lot of money. But I’ve decided it’s finally time – so of course, I hopped onto pinterest to begin planning!
The first thing I like to do is choose a colour scheme. I already had the general idea in my head, but looking up palettes was a great way for me to see all the colours together with my actual eyes, and not just letting my imagination get carried away.
These were 3 of my favourites. The first one especially appeals to me, but I do like some of the darker shades in the other two palettes.
Next, I decided to look for a bed quilt, as my bed takes up most of my rather small bedroom. and also because I love fresh bed covers!
This bed cover is from adairs. There were a few I was interested in, but this one appealed to me the most. It’s more grey in the other photos, which is totally fine!
Of course, after choosing a new bedspread, I had to check out the faux fur throws. I love them, my cat loves them, and they’re warm as hell.
This gorgeous throw is from zulily. However, it’s out of stock, and I’m not even sure if it ships to Australia. But I’m using this picture as a reference to the exact colours/pattern I want. I can only imagine the amazing naps I would have with this blanket.
Unfortunately, I’m not sure where to get this. But I’ve always wanted something similar to hang on my wall (obviously faux!). I think they’re nice and it’s something different from the obvious bedroom decors.
I wasn’t expecting to love this so much, but the more I look at it, the more I do! This industrial floor lamp is from kmart, and it’s only $39.00!
Another thing I’m really loving from kmart is the industrial bookshelf! I think it’s super cute and would be perfect to store some of my knick knacks on without taking up a lot of room.
This is going to be it for now, but I’ll keep you updated on the progress of my room! Make sure to check out my bedroom planning board on pinterest, and feel free to suggest anything you think I’d like!
