If you haven’t seen my Relaxing Bath Routine video yet, you can check it out below!
As much as I love them, I don’t have baths very often. I don’t know why – it’s not that I don’t have time for them, because I usually don’t do much after work, and I enjoy spending my weekends at home fairly often. It’s like the thought of having a bath just doesn’t cross my mind that regularly. Oh, but let me tell you – when the thought does cross my mind, it’s all I can think about until I have one. Which is exactly what happened tonight.
I decided to make the video to show you guys my little routine. It’s nothing special, but it works perfectly well for me. I thought I’d write this post to tell you guys a little more of the products that were shown in the video, in case you were inspired to relax and rewind in your own bath tub.
Twinings – Camomile & Spiced Apple
I know, I know. Tea is probably not that interesting. However, this tea has a cute little backstory. Basically, the first time my boyfriend and I met in person (we met via the internet) we stayed at a little Air BNB apartment in South Yarra and we had this tea with honey nearly every day. Now it has a nice, nostalgic feeling whenever I drink it and I adore it.
Lush – Space Girl Bath Bomb
Unfortunately, I can’t seem to find this bath bomb on the Lush website anymore. I’m quite upset by that, because this bath bomb is one of my absolute favourites. Firstly, it’s cute as hell – the pastel colours, the glitter, and of course, the spaceship shape. Secondly, it smells delicious and makes my skin feel so, so soft in the bath.
Here’s hoping it’s available again soon.
The Body Shop – Milk Bath
Apart from their fruity lip balms, this is probably my favourite product from The Body Shop. It’s a soy milk powder that turns into a creamy foam when you mix it into your bath, and it’s so lovely and moisturising for your skin. I can’t get enough of it, and it’s lasted me for a long time as you only use one tablespoon in the bath!
White Barn – Pink Petal Tea Cake
Bath & Body Works – Garden Strawberry
Slatkin & Co. – Candied Sugar Plum
I hadn’t actually used any of these candles before tonight. I was searching for sweet fruity scents that would compliment each other, and I wanted smaller candles so they could fit and be spread around the bath more easily than, say, my Yankee candles. These three candles together were simply delicious, definitely a combination I’ll be using again!
Lauren Oliver – Delirium
Last but not least… one of my favourite books! I first read this book a few years ago – it was after I read Hunger Games, and I was on the hunt for another dystopian novel. I think I saw it on one of Elle Fowler’s ‘glitteratures’, and decided to read it for myself. I was not disappointed. I remember being so emotionally invested in the characters of this book, and crying myself to sleep over the emotional parts (don’t make fun of me!). Unfortunately, every time I’ve read it since that first time I haven’t gotten quite as invested, which I guess makes sense since I already knew everything that would happen – but it’s still an amazing read, and I love this trilogy a lot.
I hope you enjoyed this post and the video. What’s your bath routine like?
