I am aware the thought of tacos and cupcakes together is somewhat sickening: but fear not – the taco is made out of lollies and therefore a delightful addition to a vanilla frosted cupcake already great on it’s own.
A few of my girlfriends and I like to get together about once a month and have themed dinners, taking turns to host at our houses. This weekend, my friend Shannon and I hosted our Mexican Dinner theme, and I decided to make cupcakes for dessert. Being a Mexican food theme, I thought it was only fitting to attempt to make little tacos to adorn the cupcakes.
Honestly, the tacos don’t look that great – but the cupcake recipe in itself is so delicious, I decided to write it out anyway. Feel free to improvise on the tacos – if you find a combination that looks better, please let me know for next time!
And there they are! I would highly recommend to make the cupcakes & frosting at the very least, because it really is an amazing combination of ingredients – there’s a very faint taste of sea salt while you’re eating them, which goes perfectly with the sweetness of the frosting.
