Yesterday, after laying in bed until about 4:00pm, I forced myself to get up and actually do something on my day off – so a few friends and I decided to head into the city and attend Moomba Festival!
Moomba Festival is held in Melbourne every year, and it’s full of food, rides and fireworks.
Unfortunately we didn’t go on any rides (they ranged from $10 – $20… come on! I’m just a receptionist!) but we did stay late enough to watch the fireworks, and also managed to stuff our faces with strange coloured burgers – check out the pictures below!
Walking from our car to the festival. Melbourne really is a beautiful city. (Sometimes.)
Various rides and games we were too poor to go on and play.
My friend’s burger which was excruciatingly uninteresting compared to mine… Wait for it…
It’s PINK! That’s pretty much the only reason I got it – as well as the name of the food truck being cute as hell: Everybody Loves Ramen. Come on, that’s adorable. It was actually pretty good – the pink was icing (on a burger? Weird, but it worked.) and most of it fell off in flakes onto my jeans to reveal a normal coloured bun, but still cool.
f i r e w o r k s !
Let me know if you’ve tried a burger like that before (because let’s be honest, that was the most interesting thing in this blog) in the comments! I’m curious!
