I was lucky enough to receive a couple of skincare products from Happy Skincare, and after a few weeks of consistent use, I wanted to write up a review here for you guys!
I had been looking for something new to treat my skin with, as it had been getting even more dry than usual. The range of products that Happy Skincare sent to me was for dry skin, so I was incredibly excited to try them all.
I had never used a cleanser of this consistency before, and it was amazing. You simply mix a tiny amount (the directions say the size of an almond) in your hand with a few drops of warm water to create a milk-like consistency, which you then massage into your face for approximately 30 seconds. This cleanser took off my makeup with ease (and I was wearing a long-lasting matte lipstick, so that was an impressive feat) and made my skin feel so soft and hydrated. Without a doubt this is my new favourite cleanser – and even though I’ve been using it every day and night, the amount you need is so small it’s like I’ve barely used any of it.
I generally stay away from tonic sprays – in the past, they have made my face feel quite oily, shiny, and overall unpleasant. However, this Raindrops on Roses Hydrating Tonic is amazing. The rosewater is wonderful for my dry skin, and the scent is fresh and beautiful. I’ve been using this after cleansing my face, and I also like to keep it in my bag so I can freshen up my face throughout the day every now and then, and I don’t know how I ever went without it.
I had actually been on the market for a new eye cream – just recently I was asking my friends for recommendations as I hadn’t found one that jumped out at me, so I was ecstatic to receive this from the lovely couple at Happy Skincare. I was probably most eager to try this out of everything, and let me tell you – I was not disappointed. This eye serum absorbs into the skin wonderfully, without leaving any residue or greasiness that I had noticed with other eye creams in the past. The area under my eyes are now softer, brighter, and my dark circles (I really should stop staying up so late on the internet) have faded considerably. I also have to comment on the packaging of this product – it’s so easy to control the amount of serum you’re squeezing out, so there’s no waste!
When I first applied this moisturizer, I wasn’t sure if I liked it. It’s more creamy (rather than liquid-y) than other moisturizers I have used, and absorbed into my skin so quickly I wasn’t sure it had done anything. However, after a few days of use, I felt ashamed of myself for thinking that. My skin was soft and light to touch, and makes applying my foundation so much easier – as it’s Winter in Australia, my skin is quite prone to foundation cracking, but since using this moisturizer I haven’t experienced it at all. It really is a miracle cream, and one of my new holy grails.
First of all, how cute is the name of this product? I adore it, and it makes me smile each time I use it. I am a huge lover of facial masks – I don’t do them very often, but I love to have them as a treat. The Pig in Mud Mineral Mask I received is for dry and sensitive skin, but if you’re prone to oily skin and breakouts, they have one for that as well! (Yay!) All flakiness disappeared, and my skin felt instantly hydrated after using this. I was so happy with this mask, I actually can’t remember the last time my skin had been as good as it is now after using this, which is a pretty incredible way to feel. I was also sent this brush to apply the mask with, which is amazingly good quality and the bristles felt soft and gentle on my face.
Overall, I am overwhelmed by how amazing these products are – I have been raving about them to my friends, and I’m so happy I’m finally getting around to sharing them with you all, too.
All of Happy Skincare’s products are 100% natural, organic, vegan – completely cruelty free, which is so important to me. Happy Skincare is made up of a husband and wife (and dog!) team – I exchanged a few emails with both of them and they are so lovely and sweet. I love supporting independent companies rather than huge factory-operated franchises, and I will definitely be purchasing some products I have my eye on from Phoebe and Aaron (and Rusty) in the future!
In case you’re interested in reading about or even purchasing products from Happy Skincare, you can do so here – they ship internationally, and offer free worldwide shipping for orders over $100 which is a pretty remarkable deal.
I hope you enjoyed this post – if you had any questions about my personal experience with any of these products please feel free to leave a comment. Otherwise, head to Happy Skincare’s contact page and get to know the couple behind these delightful products.
