Hi guys! If you’ve seen my Birthday Weekend in Daylesford vlog, you would have already seen the place John and I stayed at when we went to Daylesford a few days ago. However, I wanted to do a post with photos too, as it really was just an incredible house.
One part of the house you wouldn’t have seen on the vlog was the front of it. It was a peculiar house – John called it a base, which was rather fitting. We couldn’t help but be instantly fond of it upon arriving.
At first I thought the lack of windows was strange, but the next picture definitely makes up for it.
First of all, how cute is John? He was adjusting his shirt and I took a quick, sneaky photo the second he looked at me. Secondly, how absolutely beautiful is it? I’ve always been a big fan of huge windows, and with a view like that, it was even better. I love the style of this room, and it’s something I would actually like to base my own lounge room around once I own a house. I particularly love those little cream chairs, and of course, the fireplace. It was so lovely going from the warm hot tub, being freezing cold for a few seconds when we got out, and then warming up by the fire right afterwards.
Oh yeah, that’s right – we had a hot tub.
Unfortunately I forgot to take a photo of it when the cover was off, but it was awesome – jets, coloured lights, you name it!
Our huge, insanely comfy king sized bed – and yes, that is the door to the hot tub right by the bedroom. What a dream.
I don’t know if you can tell from the photos, but this was an open plan, two level house. Up the stairs next to the kitchen was where the bedroom was, and you could look over the half wall into the lounge room.
I adored this house (and view!) so much and I was so incredibly sad to leave it, but hey – we can always go back another time!
I hope you enjoyed seeing the pictures, and I hope they did it justice!
What do you think of this place?
