Hi everyone! I’ve been growing out my hair for a while now after a traumatic bleaching accident (never try to go from black to blonde as fast as possible – take it from me!) Even though it’s taking a damn long time to get anywhere, I can’t help but look at all the cute hairstyles I want to try once it’s a semi decent length… Or until I cave and get hair extensions once again. I decided to put together a collection of my favourite updos for long hair!
I love the simple yet pretty feel of this updo hairstyle – and by simple, I mean simple for other people yet impossible for me. Luckily, coconutrobot offers a tutorial on how to pull off this sweet ‘do!

The source of this photo had a lot of incredible updo hairstyles to choose from, but this was one of my favourites. I love how the tiny, intricate details of this, and how it’s made to look ‘messy’ but still perfectly done.
Isn’t this such a beautiful shade of brunette? I love the lack of any red tone to it – if I decide to dye my hair again I would love something like this! Not to mention this lovely whimsical updo. (Seriously, can somebody teach me?)
I love how this updo hairstyle works with the ombre look – I haven’t seen anything quite like this before, but the twisting detail of this updo is adorable!
This voluminous updo is to die for – each wave seems to be perfectly tucked into the bun, and the different shades work so well together.
This delicate hairstyle is so sweet paired with the rose buds and baby’s breath. I imagine this is more suited for a deb/prom or a wedding updo hairstyle, but hey – if you want to wear this to go grocery shopping, you do you, girl. (I’m kind of tempted, myself.)
This updo hairstyle actually reminds me of the hair one of my Sims has! (Sims 3 of course… don’t even get me started on how much I dislike Sims 4.) It’s super cute and looks simple enough to do… key word: looks.
This post by weddingsparrow had a lot of beautiful hairstyles, but I fell in love with this one. It has such a dreamy, almost olden-day feel to it, and was perfectly done.
Which updo is your favourite?
