5 Favourites: skincare

Hi guys!

I’ve decided to show you guys my 5 favourite skincare products in this post. This changes fairly often, as I like to mix up my routine every now and then – but all these products have worked amazingly for me and I find myself going back to them!

St. Ives Fresh Skin Make-Up Remover & Facial Cleanser

Please excuse the state this cleanser is in – at least you can tell it’s loved! Before adopting my skincare routine, I used to just use makeup wipes without realising how bad that is for your skin. This cleanser already does a much better job and isn’t harsh on my skin whatsoever.

Attitude Organic Cucumber Toner & Cleansing Gel

I actually bought this toner off a deal site – I think it was ozsale, but I’m not 100% sure. I kind of just liked the look of it and decided to give it a try, and I’m so glad I did!

Lush Oatifix face mask

This face mask was the first I’d ever bought from Lush, and it’s still my favourite – though I am fond of quite a few others, too! This mask does wonders with my dry skin, and smells good enough to eat (sounds good enough to eat, too – check out those ingredients!)

Michael Todd True Organics Citrus Cream Moisturizer

If you were watching beauty guru’s on YouTube a couple of years ago, you might remember when Michael Todd products were all the rage. Now, it was pretty obvious these guru’s were sponsored by Michael Todd and paid to promote them, so I was highly skeptical. However, when I found a whole bunch of their products on a deal site, I couldn’t resist purchasing a couple and trying them out. I honestly, honestly love all of them. I do swap between this moisturizer and my Aveeno one pretty frequently because I love that one too, but this is still my favourite.

Swisa Beauty Sensation Spa Dead Sea Facial Peel

I love face masks and peels, and this one (along with the Lush mask) in particular! The feel of this one is lovely and soothing, and I use it more as a ‘treat’ when I’m feeling like my skin needs more love than usual.

What are your top 5 skincare products? Have you tried any of these?

Hahaha! Well, I have dry skin and choose products to help with that, so I wouldn’t recommend using the same ones for acne-related skin problems! There are loads out there though!

What I absolutely LOVE about the lush oat fix personally probably the fact my face flakes kts that dry and since using that it’s been so soft, I have extremely dry and itchy skin and since using it I’ve seen huge improvements

Yesss my skin used to be so flaky, I can’t say it was JUST the oatifix but a combination of products and it’s so much nicer now

Another great face wash and makeup remover- Purity by Philosophy. This face wash is so creamy on your face and has just the right amount of foam that won’t strip your skin of its natural oils like most foaming cleansers do. It also smells very fresh and you can actually read the products it’s made with! It takes everything off (even waterproof mascara) and I’ve definitely stuck with it for a long time!

Oooh, one of my friends swears by that one! I’ve been eyeing their Hope in a Jar for a while, now you’ve tempted me into ordering them both right now :P

Is the toner good for dry skin? My skin is extremely dry and I can never find a good toner.

Yes, it is! I only buy skincare products that are for dry skin, as mine’s also extremely dry.

Which one do you think is the best for skin clearing?

It would be best if you had a variety of products to achieve the best result, but if you’re just starting out I would recommend choosing something for your skin type from Lush, as they’re not too expensive and are amazing for your skin!

I want to try lush but there is none where I live and its kind of difficult to buy online when everything has a certain scent.

My fave lush mask! I haven’t tried any of the other products you mentioned but that dead sea facial peel looks great… might have to look out for that.
